Windows 10 KB4535996 crashes some computers and leads to performance issues

If you check for updates and install February optional updates, you could experience system crashes and other issues including a bug that causes graphics card to disappear. As per reports from users, Windows 10 KB4535996 crashes some computers and it leads to performance issues as well.

Windows 10 KB4535996, which is an optional update that installs only when the user manually downloads it, has already been blamed for a series of other problems. For example, users previously reported that the patch leads to FPS drops in certain games, audio stutter with some sound adapters, and also a Blue screen of Death (BSOD).

“We’re aware of issues with signtool.exe after installing the latest optional update for Windows 10, version 1903 or Windows 10, version 1909 (KB4535996). If you are encountering issues or receiving errors related to signtool.exe, you can uninstall the optional update KB4535996,” the company said. In addition, our site z2u.com has a large quantity of safe Windows 10 Pro CD Key For Sale.

Microsoft has to acknowledge the BSOD, slow boot time and performance issues with the optional cumulative update. Unfortunately, Microsoft’s support team is also clueless about the recent update issues and the official workaround is still not available.

The first thing you can do to avoid getting the above update problems and more is to take over the control when your Windows 10 updates. This way you can hold off getting updates the moment Microsoft rolls them out, monitor the news for a bit to see if any major errors crop up, then manually do the update yourself.

Recently, Windows Insiders revealed that an update is coming to Windows 10 (around April 2019) which will allow all Windows users (including Home users) to pause updates by up to seven days. In the meantime, if you’re on Windows 10 Pro, enterprise, Education or S, you can postpone updates by going to Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update. Here, select the option ‘Choose when updates are installed’ and pick the number of days you’d like to delay it by.
