World of Warcraft Visions of N'Zoth will launch on January 14

World of Warcraft Classic is clinging to the past (admirably, I should say), but Battle for Azeroth is moving forward, for better or worseBut before Sylvanas becomes one of the most powerful characters in the current WoW universe (incoming lore "actually" discussions when that next expansion launches), we have to wrap up the expansion that's live now.  That includes the upcoming Visions of N'Zoth update, which is out on January 14.

That one will bring us back to old areas (Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Uldum) and new ones (Ny'Alotha, The Waking City) in a bid to squeeze all of the last story beats out of Battle for Azeroth. The city is the new 12-boss raid, and will feature N'Zoth, one of the current big bads.

Battle for Azeroth has certainly not been the best-received World of Warcraft expansion in the MMO’s long history. In fact, many fans consider it one of the weakest Blizzard has ever put out. However, the developers get one last push at giving players the quality content they crave with Visions of N’Zoth, the final content patch. Will this final patch turn the expansion around? Or will it just serve as filler while players wait for Shadowlands? We’ll know for sure soon, as Visions of N’Zoth launches January 14. If you need Buy WOW Vanilla Gold, you can visit our site

The final patch before the release of a new World of Warcraft expansion is often lackluster. I vividly remember spending days hate-playing the Isle of Quel-Danas back in Burning Crusade days. And don’t even get me started on the let-down that was going from the Icecrown Citadel raid to Ruby Sanctum. However, Blizzard seems to have gotten a bit better at structuring their expansion patches to keep captivating content. Personally, I fell off of Legion mid-way through the cycle, but Shadows of Argus was enough to bring me back for one last extended stay.

Listen, as probably the person on staff that’s put the most time into World of Warcraft over the years, Battle for Azeroth has been disappointing at best. I didn’t even hit the level cap before getting bored. However, ending the expansion with a battle against one of the four Old Gods is a big deal for WoW lore nerds. Hopefully, Blizzard can put compelling content around what should be a massive boss fight.
